Crews working on water main break in Atlanta

By News Staff

Crews were continuing to work on a water main break in downtown Atlanta late Friday night.

A contractor hit a main at Edgewood Avenue and Courtland Street earlier in the day, watershed management spokeswoman Janet Ward told Channel 2 Action News.

The intersection was closed, but no other roads were blocked.

Everyone in the area should continue to have water, but they may have low pressure, Ward said.

Though repairs had been estimated to be finished by 10 p.m., crews hit a snag because of the way the gas lines are situated, she said.

Please return for updates.
