Cops looking for Waffle House robber

By Angel K. Brooks

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

It took less than a minute for an armed man to stroll into a Waffle House and leave with stolen cash.

Atlanta police are looking for the suspect and released a surveillance video of the Jan. 7 robbery Thursday.

A man talking on a cellphone entered the restaurant in the 2200 block of Cheshire Bridge Road NE around 2:40 a.m. The man walked up to the counter, showed the employee a gun in the waistband of his pants and demanded the money from the cash register, according to the police report. The suspect stole about $400, the report said.

Witnesses said the suspect left the scene in a silver Chevy Malibu.

Anyone with information on the case should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Tips can be sent via text message to CRIMES (274637).
