Cobb Police recognized by Governor’s Office of Highway Safety

Cobb Police’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program unit (S.T.E.P.) won first place for a department of 500-plus officers at the Governor’s Challenge Traffic Safety competition. The competition included about 80 law enforcement agencies across the state. In addition to the trophy, the department won a fully equipped 2011 Dodge Charger police car and $4,000 to buy safety gear.
