Clayton County officials are reviving a defunct ethics panel in hopes of putting in place ethics reform in the county. Commissioners this week voted unanimously to restart the Ethics Advisory Committee that was created about six years ago. The panel spent two years working on ethics issues, including developing a 36-page list of recommendations that was never acted upon. Appointments to the seven-member panel are expected to begin next week. Reviving the ethics committee was part of campaign promises made by Commission Chair Jeff Turner and commissioner Shana Rooks.
