Primary use: The aircraft was commissioned by the U.S. Army and used during the Vietnam War as a “light observation helicopter,” meaning its main purpose in combat was to give the Army an ariel view.
Secondary use: The helicopter has found a second life in the 1990s among civilian police forces such as the Atlanta Police Department.
