Chamblee streetscape underway

The first phase of a streetscape project in down Chamblee is near completion.

The city is using grants from DeKalb County and the Atlanta Regional Commission for the project, which runs on Peachtree Road between Chamblee Tucker Road and Pierce Drive.

The work includes eliminating a travel lane to add on-street parking and installing a new six-foot wide sidewalk
