By Angel K. Brooks

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A 45-year-old man died when the Porsche he was driving was hit by a truck in Paulding County on Saturday night, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The crash happened around 9:15 p.m. on Cedarcrest Road at Graves Road.

Mark Richard Maffei, of Acworth, was traveling eastbound on Cedarcrest and attempting to turn the Porsche 996 left onto Graves when he pulled into the path of a Chevrolet Silverado, the GSP said. The westbound truck hit the car on the right side.

Maffei died from the injuries he sustained in the crash. Authorities said the other driver was treated for possible injuries.

No charges will be filed in the wreck, the GSP said.
