Hinojosa to propose school calendar Wednesday

Hinojosa will propose his own 2013-14 school calendar to the school board Wednesday. The calendar begins the school year on Aug. 7 and ends May 21. The calendar was created with the help of the calendar committee and the goals of academic achievement, attendance, moral and ending the first semester before the winter holidays, according to the proposal.
