More than 95,000 students attended Fulton County Schools, according to a report compiled on the second day of the school year.
The district’s student population has grown steadily over the past several years, moving to 95,041 so far this school year from around 90,000 in 2009-2010, just under 92,000 in 2010-2011, more than 92,000 in 2011-2012 and around 94,000 in 2012-2013.
Fulton has hired 665 new teachers, 18 new principals and 29 assistant principals to accomodate the student population growth.
