The Ethics Commission of the Atlanta Board of Education decided by a five to one vote that school board chairman Reuben McDaniel did not violate the district’s ethics policies in his involvement last year with North Atlanta High and the district’s delay in offering an employment contract to teacher Amy Durham. The commission decided in December to investigate an ethics complaint that McDaniel had meddled. McDaniel said Tuesday he was pleased with the commission’s ruling.
