Nearly 600 volunteers are expected to participate in the 3rd annual Sweep the Hooch multi-site cleanup April 13. The cleanup, in partnership with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper), Upper Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited and National Park Service, will lead volunteers at 22 sites along the 48-mile stretch of the river through the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
Volunteers will work from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. during the cleanup. The event netted nearly four tons of trash last year.
