Gray Television adds Nebraska station

By Christopher Seward

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Atlanta-based Gray Television, which has stations in 30 markets, is expanding its holdings in Nebraska, adding a property in the central part of the state.

The company said it has acquired KSNB-TV in Lincoln, and the station will re-launch as high-definition 10/11 Central Nebraska around the first of April.

Gray paid $2.5 million to Colins Broadcasting of Visalia, Calif., for the station, which has been dark since 2009, according to JournalStar.com.

Gray also owns KOLN/KGIN-TV in Lincoln and WOWT in Omaha. Most of Gray’s stations, like KOLN/KGIN-TV, are CBS affiliates, and the remaining are mostly NBC affiliates.
