Clerk shot dead at College Park BP station

By Fran Jeffries

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A store clerk at a BP station in College Park was fatally shot Saturday night, according to police.

When police responded to a robbery call at the BP, 5097 West Fayetteville Road, they found the clerk suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He died later at a local hospital. The incident was caught on the store’s video surveillance system. Police said two suspects entered the store, pointed a weapon at the clerk and fired a single shot. Both suspects then fled the store and headed toward South Hampton Road. The clerk offered no resistance to the shooter, according to police.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects, who appear to be males between teens to early 20s.
