Cherokee’s Poidevant named Georgia School Psychologist of the Year

John Poidevant, psychologist for the Cherokee County School District School, has been named the Georgia Association of School Psychologists 2013 School Psychologist of the Year, the district announced Saturday. The award was made Oct. 1 Poidevant has been Cherokee’s school psychologist since 2006. He currently serves Avery and Macedonia elementary schools. Poidevant will be recognized at the Oct. 17 school board meeting.
