The man accused of shooting another man to death outside a Sandy Springs bar was arrested Friday, thanks in part to witnesses, according to police.

Andrae Dinkens, 31, of Sandy Springs, was arrested without incident after exiting his car at his job in Buckhead, according to Capt. Steve Rose with Sandy Springs police.

Dinkens is accused of shooting Ellis Alfoncoe Blue, 36, several times outside of the Morgan Falls Billiards shortly after 2 a.m. Sept. 15, according to police. Dinkens and Blue were involved in an altercation inside the Roswell Road bar before Dinkens allegedly followed Blue outside, police said.

As Blue sat in the driver’s seat and his wife sat in the passenger’s seat, a suspect fired multiple shots into the car, hitting Blue, Rose said. Blue was transported to North Fulton Hospital, where he died, according to police.

Last week, police released a sketch of the suspect, based on information from witnesses. That sketch and other witnesses led investigators to Dinkens, Rose said Friday.

Dinkens is charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to police. He was previously convicted of a felony in another state.
