A 46-year-old Acworth woman found face-down in Allatoona Lake on Tuesday died in a hospital in Marietta on Wednesday.

Debra Hangard’s granddaughter and a second juvenile saw the woman floating face down in the lake while they were swimming, according to a Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Responding officers and fire personnel performed CPR on Hangard and took her to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta where she died.
