The Atlanta area could see a mostly dry, hot summer day on Thursday.
“We see nothing on storm tracker 2 HD radar and that’s good news as the high pressure is building in and the cold front is moving down toward the south,” said Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Karen Minton.
Minton said some areas may see a pop-up shower, but overall Thursday should be dry.
Temperatures reached the low 70s on Thursday morning and are expected to rise to the high 80s into the afternoon hours. The high temperatures should remain through the weekend, but there’s a 60 percent chance that the rain will return on Saturday.
