A woman really felt catfished after going on a date with a man she met through online dating site Plenty of Fish. He went to make a phone call and never came back, leaving her with the bill.

After a few messages were exchanged, Diane Guilmette told CBSLA they decided to meet at Morton's Steakhouse, an upscale restaurant in downtown LA.

"He ordered a lot of food. He had an appetizer. He ordered a steak. This restaurant is all al la carte. He even ordered a couple sides, a glass of wine. So he looked like he was really enjoying himself," Guilmette

told CBSLA. "When we got near to the end of the meal, not quite finished, he said he had to go make a phone call."

He never returned.

She tried to message him through the app but he had already blocked her.

Guilmette took to social media to expose the dine and dash dater. She said other women came forward with their own stories.

"I heard from a lot of people. (They) say he did the same thing," Guilmette told CBSLA. "It's typically high-end restaurants."

Police told CBSLA the man, Paul Gonzalez, is also accused of not paying for a haircut and color in February. He is also facing two petty theft cases, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office told CBSLA.
