Mom calls police after 3-year-old unbuckles herself in car seat

An Arizona mother needed some backup to teach her 3-year-old daughter an important lesson.

Michelle Fortin was driving home when her daughter, Camille, decided that she wasn't going to stay buckled in her car seat, KPHO reported.

Fortin pulled over and put her daughter back in the seat, but didn't think the little girl understood the severity of the situation.

Fortin called for police backup.

Two officers answered the call.

"We don't know what other drivers will do," Officer Cory Snead told Camille. "Other drivers might not pay attention and run into the back of your mom, or (the) side of the car. If you were not buckled, your body is going to hit something."

Camille promised police that she'll stay buckled in her seat from now on when she's in the car, KPHO reported.
