Mother, daughter charged in killing of Paulding man
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A woman and her daughter were arrested Monday in connection with the Memorial Day shooting death of a Paulding County man.
The victim, Lennis Donovan Jones, was shot in the head last May at his home on Fernwick Court in Dallas, according to Paulding sheriff's spokesman Ashley Henson.
On Monday, deputies arrested Elgerie Mary Cash, 45, of Stockbridge, and her 20-year-old daughter, Jennifer M. Weathington of Powder Springs and charged both women with felony murder.
Henson said it took so long to make the arrests because investigators were working to iron out inconsistencies in witness statements. He said more arrests are possible.
Investigators are still unsure of a motive for the slaying, Henson said.
