The jackpot for Friday night's Mega Millions lottery jumped to $140 million after no players matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday night.

Eleven tickets matched the first five numbers in Tuesday night's game -- 27, 31, 32, 36 and 47 -- but missed on the Mega Ball of 35. None of those tickets, worth $250,000 each, were sold in Georgia.

The jackpot has been growing since Nov. 11, when winning tickets were sold in California and New Jersey.

Mega Millions is also played in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington state.
