Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $47 million
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A Georgia Lottery player could have 47 million reasons to be thankful if he or she matches all six numbers in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing.
That's the amount of the jackpot after no player correctly picked all numbers drawn Tuesday night.
One ticket sold in Georgia matched the first five numbers in Tuesday night's game -- 10, 11, 35, 37 and 50, but missed on the Mega Ball of 50. That five-match ticket is worth $250,000.
Mega Millions is also played in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington state.
