The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing climbed to $63 million after no players matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday night.

One ticket sold in Georgia matched the first five numbers -- 5, 18, 23, 31 and 38 -- but missed the "Mega Ball" of 20. That ticket is worth $250,000.

If a single ticket matches all of Friday night's numbers and the winning player chooses the cash option, the payout would be an estimated $39.8 million before taxes.

In addition to Georgia, Mega Millions is played in Virginia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, California and Washington state.
