Man killed by train in LaGrange

LAGRANGE — A man was killed when he was struck by a train in LaGrange.

Troup County coroner Jeff Cook told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer that the man died at the scene of the accident at about 5 a.m. Saturday on the tracks between Main and Mulberry streets.

The age and hometown of the man were not immediately known.

LaGrange police were investigating the accident. It occurred on CSX railroad tracks.
