The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A 31-year-old man will spend the rest of his life in jail for killing another man for drugs and money.

David Bell was convicted Wednesday of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges for the 2003 murder of Samuel Stanley, 43.

An accomplice, Angela Adams, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for her role.

Stanley was gunned down after Adams purchased drugs from him at his room at the Summit Inn Motel on Fulton Industrial Boulevard, according to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.

Adams returned later with Bell. As Stanley opened the door, Bell drew a gun, demanded money and property and shot Stanley as he resisted. The two then duct taped Stanley and a female companion, stole money, drugs and cell phones and fled the scene.

They were caught a week later in Cobb County.
