Georgia is a state that begs to have its picture taken. Cityscapes that spring from a sea of trees, mountains tinged with blue and coastal sunsets all mingle to make it a most photogenic state.

Of course, many of those photos are taken and shared with Instagram.

Time teamed up with Instagram to map out the most Instagrammed places in each state. From Louisiana's Cafe du Monde to New York City's Times Square, each state's popular landmarks are filtered in varying shades of Lo-fi and Valencia.

Georgia's most Instagrammed spot? It's the Atlanta-based Georgia Aquarium.

Thousands of visitors stream through the doors every year, and many view the penguins and tropical fish through the lens of their iPhones.

Check out some of the shots that catapulted the Georgia Aquarium to No. 1.
