Senior citizen issues to be discussed at May 2 forum

A free political forum will be held from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 2 for Cobb senior citizens to meet with state lawmakers.

To be held at the Cobb County Senior Wellness Center, 1150 Powder Springs St., Marietta, the event is sponsored by CO-AGE, the coalition of advocates for Georgia’s elderly, and the Senior Citizen Council of Cobb County.

All Cobb elected legislators have been invited.

Legislators will be available to discuss many issues that affect senior citizens, including affordable housing, elder abuse, healthcare and transportation.

Also, the 2019 and 2020 priorities and goals of the Georgia Council on Aging will be presented.

No memberships are required to attend.
