Sandy Springs has scheduled an informational open house March 1 on sidewalk improvements along Roswell Road between Northwood and Long Island drives.
The event is to take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hammond Park Gym, 705 Hammond Drive. No formal presentation is planned, but city representatives will be on hand to discuss the project and answer questions, officials said.
The proposed improvements – additional sidewalks, streetscaping, trees and pedestrian lighting – are intended to improve safety and mobility along the road. The project is funded by federal Community Development Block Grant funds.
