Fulton County plans overnight sewer cleaning that could affect traffic on Roswell Road (Ga. 9) in Sandy Springs.

Fulton County has announced overnight sanitary sewer cleaning on Roswell Road (Ga. 9) in Sandy Springs that may affect overnight traffic in the coming days.

Woolpert Inc., the county Department of Public Works’ contractor, will be working from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. No road closures are planned, but logistics require the project to take place over five days, officials said.

The dates and locations along Roswell Road are: Aug. 20: Hedden Road NE to Mystic Place; Aug. 21: Mystic to Long Island Drive; Aug. 22: Long Island to Hardeman Road; Aug 23: Hardeman to Elden Drive; and Aug. 24: Elden to Green Hill Road. The project is to be completed Aug. 24.

County staff is coordinating with Sandy Springs and Georgia Department of Transportation to minimize the impact on the affected areas, officials said.
