Looking to spruce up the yard ahead of Thanksgiving? Think twice before doing so in Smyrna.

Not again.

You told yourself after sly comments from the in-laws about your yard during Thanksgiving last year that you were going to spruce up before they came again.

And if you had plans to trim at the last-minute, you might want to plan ahead or just avoid it all together.

The city of Smyrna reminded folks via Facebook on Monday that Wednesday is the last yard waste collection day before Thanksgiving.

The day before Thanksgiving will be for picking up trash and recycling for those who usually have pickups on Thursdays and Fridays.

The Monday and Tuesday pickups during the week of Thanksgiving won’t be affected.

Oh, and good luck surviving the in-laws. If you need help, try this.
