A swearing-in ceremony has been set for incoming Cobb County District 1 Commissioner Keli A. Gambrill, representing West and Northwest Cobb.

The newly elected commissioner will be sworn in at 4 p.m. Dec. 17.

Gambrill will take the oath of office from Probate Judge Kelli Wolk in the Cobb County Superior Court Ceremonial Courtroom, second floor, Judicial Building, 70 Haynes St., Marietta.

An accountant, Gambrill describes herself as “a homeowners’ advocate” for 13 years.

She will replace Commissioner Bob Weatherford who previously served for 12 years as an Acworth alderman.

In the July 24 Republican runoff, Gambrill received 57.94 percent to Weatherford’s 42.06 percent.
