The movers are coming Friday to relocate Milton government offices to a newly built City Hall at 2006 Heritage Walk in the Crabapple District.

The 32,000-square-foot building is on a new street and can now be located on Google Maps, but for those whose GPS devices don’t cooperate, just know it’s directly behind the Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub on Crabapple Road. The parking lot can be reached via Itaska Walk to Lecoma Trace.

Staff will be working Friday and through the weekend so that City Hall can open for business Monday morning. Its phone number will remain the same: 678-242-2500. The Police Department and Municipal Court will remain in the former City Hall at 13000 Deerfield Parkway.

The new municipal complex includes offices, City Council chambers, meeting facilities and a town green for community events. The Council approved a $10 million revenue bond to fund construction in May 2014, and ground was formally broken in December 2015.
