The Lilburn City Council recently approved revisions to the city’s Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance to mirror state law regarding package store ownership. The revision allows for one owner to hold no more than two package store licenses within the city. Previously, package store owners were only allowed to hold one license.

The change applies to family members of package store owners as stated in the revision: “No person and/or member of his/her family and/or a corporation shall own, hold or control any interest whatsoever in more than two licenses in the city to engage in the business of selling distilled spirits by the package at retail.”
