A federal agency is seeking people to bid on park attendant contractor jobs at Lake Lanier for the summer 2019 season.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Facebook page announced open positions at these campgrounds: Bald Ridge (1), Duckett Mill (1), Old Federal (1), Sawnee (2), and Van Pugh South (2).

“These positions must be filled using a bid process, so all bids must be received by 4:30 pm, Dec. 14, to be considered,” the Corps said. “Interested persons, if chosen, will be required to obtain a background check, insurance and a bond.

“These positions are open only to two-person teams, no single individuals permitted. All park attendants must be able to live on site in a self-contained, factory-built camper.”

Responding to Facebook inquiries, the Corps explained, “You have to bid for a contract, or state a rate-per-day you’d like to be paid. If you’re the lowest bid (within reason), you can get the job.”
