Gwinnett County police are searching for this man who tried using used a cloned bank card to purchase money orders.

Gwinnett County police are looking for a man who tried to get $1,500 in fraudulent money orders at a Dacula Kroger.

The man used a credit card “cloned” from another person’s card, a police report said. The victim was alerted to the attempted fraud by his bank and contacted police.

The man had asked the grocery store’s customer service clerk for $1,500 in money orders. When he swiped the “cloned” credit card multiple times, it didn’t work. When it was finally declined, the man left the store without getting the money orders.

The suspect is described as 6 feet tall with a “large beard” and weighing approximately 250 lbs. On May 7, when the incident occurred, the suspect was seen in a yellow dress shirt and yellow patterned tie.
