A toy collection in Forsyth County to benefit the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program will be held Friday, Dec. 14, by the Forsyth Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol.

Toys will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marketplace Walmart, 1500 Market Place Boulevard, Cumming. “By donating a new, unwrapped toy, you can help make this a Christmas to remember and a dream come true for a child in Forsyth County who might otherwise be forgotten,” the Sheriff’s Office says.

Toys also can be dropped off at a collection box in the lobby of Georgia State Patrol Post 37 at 4055 County Way, Cumming. Cut-off date for toy drop-offs is Dec. 21.

Monetary donations should be brought to GSP Post 37 or given at Friday’s event, officials said. Checks should be made out to “Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.”
