Athletes who participate in Fayette County’s recreation program but live outside the county will pay an additional $25 impact fee starting next year. The Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a revision to the Parks and Recreation Policy and Procedures Manual on Aug. 10, following a recommendation from the county’s recreation commission.

The fee will be levied per sport per season, starting in 2018. Affected sports include baseball, softball, football, soccer, basketball and archery. The impact fee for Fayette residents will remain $5.
