Construction equipment has moved into downtown Duluth’in the space between Pure Taqueria and the Red Clay Music Foundry on Main Street. Vacant for the past six years, the lot, known as ‘the hole,’ will be transformed into a two-story turn of the century-style building with a street-level retail space and a corporate office on the second floor.

Local residents Mark and Lauren Gary, of Seed Capital, are the developers that will be constructing the infill building.

“This is our way of giving back to the city we call home,” said Lauren Gary. “We appreciate the patience of our neighbors in working with us at this very tight construction space.”

This project joins others transforming downtown Duluth to a mixed-use, walkable neighborhood development.
