Residents on South Street in Duluth will notice workers begin Jan. 4 to remove a large tree. Several homes will be affected when the electricity must be temporarily turned off for the tree removal.

The damaged and diseased tree will be removed in early January after the holidays. Affected homeowners will need to sign a release allowing the electricity to be turned off temporarily and to allow contractors to work on or near their property. Representatives for the contractor and the city of Duluth will be contacting those residents. The city’s contractor is 404-Cut-Tree. Questions: Public Works Department at 770-476-2454.
