The Braselton Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 on a zoning request to build a 367-unit garden style multi-family apartment community. The application is submitted by Wilwat Properties to develop the community on 27.94 acres near the northwest corner of Highway 211 and Interstate 85.

Average size of the units will be about 960 to 965-square feet. The proposal indicates about 40 percent of the units would be one-bedroom, 52 percent two-bedroom, and the remaining 8 percent three-bedroom units. The proposed gated community would have a clubhouse, pool, dog park, bocce ball court, valet waste service and fitness center.

The Braselton Town Council will conduct a public hearing on the same request at 4 p.m. Nov. 10. Both public hearings will be held in the Braselton Police & Municipal Court Building, 5040 Highway 53.
