With no challengers, Berkeley Lake city council member incumbents Rod Hammond, Scott Lee, and Chip McDaniel will be automatically elected to new four-year terms this fall.

Although voting for council members will not be required, residents will vote in a special referendum to decide whether or not to allow the package sale of distilled spirits in the city. The referendum is the result of a petition to the city containing the required 447 valid signatures.

Early voting will be held 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 16 through Nov. 2 at City Hall, 4040 S. Berkeley Lake Road. The polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day, Nov. 7.

Information or to volunteer as a poll worker contact Pat Chapman at City Hall, 770-368-9484, ext. 102 or deputy.admin@berkeleylake.com.
