The Clayton County branch of the NAACP is hosting a Women’s History month celebration on March 24.

Channel 46 anchor Amanda Davis will be the guest speaker at the “Women Hold Up the Sky…And Still We Rise” program. The 7 p.m. event will be at the Clayton County Performing Arts Center, 2530 Mt Zion Pkwy in Jonesboro.

The five honorees are Tonya Clarke, head of the Clayton County Public Schools math department, realtor Rhonda Haynes, political activist Helen Ho, attorney Miya Griggs and chef Margaret June.

Four female authors will be at the event to sign their books.
