Light rain expected all day Saturday
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Intermittent rain will soak any and all attending outdoor events Saturday, but the skies may clear in time for trick-or-treaters.
Laura Griffith, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, said less than half and inch of rain has fallen, on average, in the Atlanta area since a cold front started pushing through Friday evening. Another quarter inch of rain should fall Saturday.
Gray skies are expected to start breaking up in the afternoon. By nightfall, the chance for rain will dip to 30 percent but kids looking for treats should be prepared for light rain.
"The heaviest showers associated with this cold front have already fallen," said Griffith. "What remains will be light to moderate showers."
No flooding problems are expected, she said.
Sunday should be sunny, but cooler, with temperatures dropping into the 40s.
