For the AJC

Former weight: 195 pounds

Current weight: 129 pounds

Pounds lost: 66

Height: 5 feet 4 inches

Age: 35

How long she’s kept it off: “I started in June 2011. I reached my initial goal of 50 pounds in December 2011. I am now a lifetime Weight Watchers member,” Traylor said.

Personal life: “I am a senior technology project manager residing in Atlanta,” she said.

Turning point: “Memorial Day weekend 2011, I traveled with friends to Puerto Rico. After returning home and viewing the pictures of myself in a bathing suit, I was not happy with what I saw,” she said. “I knew it was time for a change. I remembered a girlfriend told me she had great success with Weight Watchers. I figured if both she and Jennifer Hudson could do it, then so could I.”

Diet plan: “Most days I prepare all meals, occasionally enjoying lunch or dinner with friends,” she said. “Breakfast may include oatmeal or egg whites with veggies, along with chicken bacon and fresh apples. I love apples and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner may include a large salad, protein [and] veggies or sushi.”

Exercise routine: “I rotate a routine of arm, leg and gluteal exercises with light weights,” she said. “I also do moderate walking and run on a treadmill or at the park most days of the week.”

Biggest challenge: “Initially, my biggest challenge was incorporating regular fitness into my routine. I linked up with the local Black Girls Run running group (www.blackgirlsrun.com), which supported my efforts and gave enormous motivation to enjoying running. I once despised running, but have grown to love it.”

How life has changed: “I am very mindful of what I eat and how I treat my body. I continue to attend weekly Weight Watchers meetings and have become very disciplined with the program,” she said. “In August 2011, I started participating in local 5K's, something I would have never done before. ... To challenge myself, I began to participate in races monthly and added 10K races to my regimen. I've registered to participate in the upcoming Peachtree Road Race and my first half marathon in the fall.”
