Key dates for some area colleges

Over the next few weeks students will move into dormitories and start fall semester classes. Here are the dates for some area colleges:

• Wednesday: General move-in to residence halls begins at University of Georgia.

• Aug. 13: Students begin moving into dorms at several colleges, including Clayton State University, Georgia Tech and Georgia State University.

• Aug. 13: Classes begin at University of West Georgia.

• Aug. 15: Freshmen arrive at Spelman College for dorm move-in and orientation.

• Aug. 17: First day of classes for Clayton State, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, UGA and others.

• Aug. 18: New student orientation and move-in begins at Morehouse College.

• Aug. 22: Move-in day for freshmen at Emory University.

• Aug. 26: First day of classes at Morehouse College and Spelman College.

• Aug. 27: First day of classes at Emory University.
