SAVANNAH --  A federal judge says he won't stop the Army from sending a Fort Stewart soldier overseas to face a court-martial on charges that he made threats to fellow troops in the lyrics of a hip-hop recording.

U.S. District Court Judge William T. Moore ruled Wednesday he would not intervene in a case being tried under military law.

The Army plans to hold Spc. Marc A. Hall's court-martial in Iraq, where his infantry unit is deployed. Hall's attorneys tried to stop the move, saying it would violate Hall's right to a fair trial.

Hall of Coward, S.C., is charged with making threats in his song "Stop Loss," in which he raps about going on a shooting spree. The Army says he also made threats in conversations with other soldiers.
