Hit-run crash takes life of unborn baby
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Henry County police are seeking a green Ford Expedition in a hit-and-run accident that police said resulted in the death of an unborn child.
The accident happened at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in front of the McDonald’s restaurant on Hudson Bridge Road, police said.
The Ford collided with a vehicle driven by a woman who was four months pregnant, police said. As a result of the impact, the woman lost the baby.
The Ford was occupied by two white males, ages 20 to 25 years, police said. The SUV is believed to have sustained slight to moderate front-end damage. When last seen, it was heading down Hudson Bridge toward I-75.
The driver of the Ford faces charges of hit-and-run and second-degree feticide, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact Henry County investigations at 770-288-8291.
