Henry Medical Center is temporarily changing its hospital visitation guidelines due to swine flu.

The hospital is asking visitors 18 and under not to visit patients. This is to help prevent the spread of the illness, officials said.

The novel H1N1 strain of influenza is a new virus that is similar to the seasonal flu and should not be treated differently, officials said.

Both viruses share similar symptoms including fever, sore throat, muscle aches, cough, runny nose, extreme fatigue and are transmitted from person to person. Craig Schneider
