The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A Locust Grove couple has pleaded guilty to federal charges of illegally burying the hazardous material used to make napalm.

John and Jennifer Duffey, both 38, entered their guilty pleas on Thursday in U.S. District Court. They are to be sentenced March 4.

The Duffeys ran Joint Military Development Services, which conducts military training exercises and pyrotechnics for U.S. armed forces. Late last year, they arranged for naphalene, exposure to which can cause liver and neurological damage, to be buried on property near the company's warehouse, federal authorities said.
