Teen driver killed in Gwinnett crash
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
An 18-year-old driver was killed and two other teenagers injured in a Sunday night wreck in Gwinnett County.
Gwinnett police Cpl. David Schiralli said Tristan Sadler of Buford was northbound on South Bogan Road near Quail Creek Drive about 8:45 p.m. when he lost control of the 1989 Volvo he was driving in a curve.
The Volvo struck a drainage culvert and overturned several times, ejecting Sadler, who was not wearing a seat belt.
Sadler died at the scene, Schiralli said.
Two 17-year-old passengers, Vernon Thomas and Ashtyn Roper, both of Buford, were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment of injuries that Schiralli said were not believed to be life threatening.
